DESCRIPTION
The plaid shirt came into existence around 1850. Crafted from wool, it was an instant hit with the outdoorsmen who braved the elements on a daily basis.
Waxhaw, North Carolina came into existence around 1889, let’s just say about 40 yrs later. Cotton production was vital to the life of this new town. It is entirely possible an outdoorsman from Waxhaw loved the plaid shirt but wasn’t keen on wool. And it is also entirely possible that somebody in town crafted one in cotton.
We love this traditional American plaid, but we’re much more fond of cotton than wool. It took us a while (not 40 yrs though). It is entirely possible this could become your favorite shirt.
